Renée N. Rawlins, OCt, Ed.D.Dr. Renée Rawlins’ passion for education and community advancement led her to earn a Bachelor of Business Administration, and a Bachelor, Masters and Doctorate in Education, specializing in counselling psychology. Dr. Rawlins is currently the Department Leader of Student Services and a Guidance Counsellor at a secondary school in the Toronto District School Board. She is also an Instructional Leader for the Guidance & Career Education courses in the Professional Learning Department at York University. She also co-wrote the curriculum for the Guidance & Career Education Additional Qualification courses for York University. Dr. Rawlins has also been a Sessional Lecturer at the University of Toronto where she taught graduate courses such as Black Feminist Thought and Group Counselling. She has conducted numerous counselling groups, workshops, speaking engagements, and media appearances with a focus on group counselling and the well-being of women and girls, particularly in the Black community, and from a Black Feminist perspective.
